Ask me anything   This is a blog for healthy habits and tips for losing weight and getting fit.
My main blog is here.

Hernia Problems

I’m so tired, you guys. Tired of not being able to work out. I keep scrolling through tumblr and seeing motivational posts, telling people to push harder and just run or lift and believe in themselves. It’s SO HARD for me because I can’t do that. Because I am recovering from an emergent surgery/chronic medical condition that really set me back and have a resulting hernia, the only real exercise I can do is walk until my next surgery. And it’s still even really hard for me to do that. I feel so flabby and fat and just disgusting. My weight has been stable (still 20 lbs. less than when I went in for surgery, but I really don’t want to gain anything back despite what the docs say), but that doesn’t mean that I’m not gaining fat. I have absolutely NO muscles.
I’m sorry guys, I just really needed to speak my mind. :( I just need some motivation to try harder. I just feel so guilty about eating and not working out, I absolutely hate it.

“Drink more water”
There are many benefits of drinking lots of water daily. They say we should drink 8 glasses a day (which equates to just over 2 litres).
Sometimes we can confuse thirst for hunger. Or we may find that we get bored easily if our hands & mouth aren’t busy eating. Dehydration can cause headaches, and nobody feels like being active when they are feeling under the weather.
We live in a society that constantly drinks exorbitant amounts of calories, in tea, coffee, juice, cordial, soft drink etc. Our only need for drinking is hydration through water consumption, we only crave the other drinks because of the addictive nature if the high sugar content.
If you’re exercising or trying to lose weight, you will be able to get the best out of your body only if you drink enough water every day.
Add a few slices of fresh lemon if you don’t like the taste of it.
Moral to the story? Drink more water.
Enjoy your 8 glasses today. millieG. xox

The tricky thing about yoga is that you think you do it exactly as the instructor and then you see yourself in the mirror and be like LOL NO.
